Moraceae, or the mulberry and fig family, are monoecious or dioecious trees, shrubs, lianas, or rarely herbs comprising 40 genera and 1100 species, nearly all with milky sap. While several genera are prized for their edible fruits, others are known for the waxy or latex-like compounds they generate. We are very excited about these weird trees and freaky fruits at Rancho Garza.
